The history of Payne Marine dates back to 1960, the
year Vince Payne and his son Mike purchased the property
presently known as Payne Marine Ltd.
Together they worked hard, originally selling minnows
and ice. Their dedication resulted
in the installation of their first fuel tank in 1961.
In 1967, a road was built allowing the marina to be
accessible by both water and land. The business continued
to flourish and in 1969, an engine franchise was opened.
Success into the 70's allowed for a larger repair facility,
additional docks, a storage building and parking lots.
In 1983, Yamaha Outboards came aboard followed by Limestone
boats in 1986. The 90's saw further growth welcoming
Mark Payne to the growing family business. Now with
the strength of 3 dedicated generations, Payne Marine
Ltd. has surpassed its own expectations and is growing
continually to meet the requirements necessary to provide
their customers with quality products & friendly
service.
